Colorado Refinishing Services
Paint, technically referred to as refinishing, is the final step before reassembly and completion. Any part of the body of the vehicle that required repair or replacement must go through this same process. Each surface goes through the following: preparation for primer, priming, sanding of the primer and cleaning and preparation for paint. After these steps have been completed, any part of the car not being painted must be masked off. The paint is carefully mixed to match the rest of the car and a test panel is sprayed out to check the color. The paint is then sprayed on with HVLP (high volume low pressure) technology. Next the paint is left to dry, or cure. Finally the painted areas are buffed and cleaned. The vehicle is now ready for reassembly.
